A PowerPoint file containing 5 presentations for a World History unit titled “The Protestant Reformation.”
The PowerPoint file is 42 slides in length. In total there are 5 individual lessons, which in my classroom provides for 10 days of instruction:
12.1 Background to the Protestant Reformation - 1 day
12.2 Martin Luther and the German Reformation - 3 days
12.3 Radical Protestantism - 2 days
12.4 The Henrican Reformation - 3 days
12.5 The Edwardian Reformation and Marian Restoration - 1 day
Also included in this download is a 7-page set of visuals and activities to accompany the 5 lessons. In my classroom, students take Cornell style notes on the right side in their interactive notebooks; their corresponding visuals pages are glued on the left. These activities are completed before (vocabulary), during (visual labeling), and after (writing, thinking maps, etc.) completion of the presentation.
If you would like to download a full-preview for free of one of my units, in order to get an idea of the types of things you might find in them, please do a search on TpT for my unit titled “The Birth of Democracy.”
*There are references throughout the presentations to DVD clips I show during some of my presentations. These clips cannot, of course, be included with your download.
Below is a list of the DVDs that I use:
- A&E: Biography - Henry VIII
- PBS: Martin Luther
- Clips from Hollywood films:
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Thank you for downloading my lessons! Your feedback is always welcome.
