Open-ended Math Projects Bundle 2
Open-ended Math projects challenge students to come up with different solutions to problems - there is no one right answer.
In this project students enter a contest to plant the most profitable pumpkin patch. Each team must decide which pumpkin varieties to plant, work out the cost to plant the vines, the market price of the pumpkin harvest and the profit that they will make.
Concepts covered include: addition, subtraction and multiplication of money.Critical thinking is required!
My class loves open-ended projects and are always asking for more. I hope you enjoy them too. There are several other types of open-ended project available in the store. If you are unfamiliar with this type of learning you may want to look at the freebie project Terrific Tortoise to see what an open-ended project looks like.
