Benjamin Franklin was part of a movement called The Enlightenment. During the Enlightenment people began to use science and reason to explain and answer life's questions. During his life Benjamin Franklin published Poor Richard's Almanac. This almanac featured many quotes by Franklin on anything from houseguests to politics. In this activity students will explore 12 Franklin quotes and try to figure out their meanings. They will also be instructed to write their own 'Franklin-like' quote!
