Hello everyone! I have been really enjoying using Jennifer Serravallo's The Reading Strategies Book to develop skilled readers. Her mini lessons are great for supplementing a whole group lesson. They are also amazing for working with small groups.
One of my favorite things about this resource are the visual suggestions that go along with each lesson. I find myself using them as teaching tools for myself, but I also find that they are great for sending along with students for reminders during their independent reading times at school or at home.
All visual tools for Goal 1: Supporting Pre-Emergent and Emergent Readers are included in this resource. For each of the 20 mini lessons, you will find a poster AND individual student cards!!
