This product has 3 differentiated two-page reading passages. The higher level is indicated by an asterisk at the top of the reading, the hashtag is the middle level, and the plus sign is the lower level. These symbols are small enough that my students don't even notice them so the levels aren't obvious to them, but it's easy for me to differentiate. The student answer sheet and the answer key is included.
The content explains the real first Thanksgiving and debunks some of the myths, such as Pilgrims wearing white and black with buckles on their shoes or that they ate turkey. It also discusses the challenges between the Wampanoag and English settlers making Thanksgiving a National Day of Mourning for the tribe.
