Teach your students about respect and kindness through the read aloud "The Recess Queen" by Alexis O'Neill. This particular book focuses on bullying. I took this and adapted the lessons to focus more on respect, the correct way to treat our classmates and how to deal with a bully. Included are a week worth of lessons, team activities and writings and crafts to help teach respect in the classroom. The lessons are meant to be quick, impactful, promote collaboration and bring out creativity.
