This game is meant to get students up on their feet and talking about recycling. Each student will get a name tag that assigns them to be a certain recyclable material (for example: newspaper, soup can, or water bottle). Next, each student gets a "Recyclable Materials Hunt" worksheet and they go around the room hunting for someone who has a tag that fits what they're looking for. For example, one of the boxes is "A paper product". Students would wander the room looking for someone who's name tag is a paper product. They would then write the name of the product in the box and the first one to fill all their boxes wins!
Other ways of adapting the activity as well as blank name tags to add your own products are included.
