Active learning puzzle task disguised as a fun activity. There are 27 words for students to find. These words are the names of major and minor characters, and important locations in the novel.
Students will enjoy this activity. In addition to finding words in the grid, students are asked to write a sentence about each character / location. This helps students reinforce their knowledge of character and plot. The character sentence writing is an easy first step to their building their character profiles.
This is the type of resource that could be used as a homework assignment, for a substitute teacher, or as class work on occasions when you need a filler, and have nothing prepared.
The solution is included.
