The River Objective Tests Teaching Guide
This 27-page resource for teaching Gary Paulsen's sequal to HATCHET a series of objective tests (multiple choice, true/false, yes/no, matching style) that cover the novel as chapter-by-chapter quizzes and as a whole book test (50 multiple choice questions).
The questions are written to draw attention to plot sequence, cause and effect, character traits and motivations, story clues, implied meaning, etc. They check for FACTUAL story comprehension.
The questions do not require story interpretation nor do they address elements of literature. The do build a strong knowledge base for progression to the higher level thinking skills.
