Students will understand key elements of the narrative and how McCarthy's style reinforces the nature of the narrative. Through a Reader Response, Quotation Analysis and Seminar, students will be able to express their personal reaction to the novel and its vision of the future. Although the story is dark in nature, it shows man's capacity for goodness and grace. The package also includes Bookmarks with Guiding Questions that can be printed.
