The first packet explores the rise of the republic. The second explores the increasing corruption in Rome leading to the rise of Caesar. The final packet explores the reign of Augustus and the Pax Romana.
Each packet could represent a day's class. The assignment is most compatible with students with proficient writing skills. The assignment would best be implemented in collaborative groups with the students completing it in pairs. The assignment could also be completed with the class as a whole group, or, alternatively, as a homework assignment.
The assignment is compatible with all textbooks, but is most compatible with the Prentice Hall World History textbook.
