I use this mini-project (activity) to teach about the Rorschach Test and personality theories in Psychology. This project has four main components. The first requires students to research the history & purpose of the Rorschach Test. The second part requires students to actually take the Rorschach Test & then answer a variety of questions about their results.
The third part is when students actually create their own Rorschach Test ink splatter. After they created it (I have them use paint), they are required to type up a well cited/construction explanation of what their splatter means in regards to personality traits. For example, if the person sees what their image is suppose to portray, what does that mean?
I have found this project to be really fun while also promoted higher level critical thinking skills. I hope your students enjoy it as much as mine have.
