Product Description
Writing Dialogue Activity for whole class, small groups, or independent literacy center/station work during guided reading. Review the anchor chart for the rules of writing dialogue. Learn how to use quotation marks and write dialogue. Students add dialogue to cartoons and then translate the dialogue into sentences using the proper punctuation. There are 8 cartoon squares with 2 characters in each square

Whole Class
Use for introducing the concept.
Project task page on the board or make a copy for each student

Small Group
Give each student a task page so that they can follow along.
Once concept is introduced, students can then independently complete task.

Centers/Stations

Cooperative Centers/Stations students work in groups of 3 or 4.
Each student collects a task page/recording sheet.
Students take turns completing the task. All students fill out the recording sheet as they go along.

Independent Centers/Stations
Each student collects a task page/recording sheet.
Students work through the tasks independently and complete recording sheet.
