The book "On the Same Day in March" by Marilyn Singer takes students on a trip around the world to see what the weather is like in different places.
I used this book to review a few skills we had learned previously in my self-contained k-2 special education class. First, weather. Students were able to make predictions and discuss weather in different places. Second, geography. We are currently working on a unit about places around the world. Third, comparing things. We used a Venn Diagram to compare two places from the book (one diagram for pictures, one for words). Also included is a chart to look at two different places without comparing them.
Included in the file are: 4 student sheets in PDF format, 4 Smartboard files of the student sheets, good for modeling and one teacher idea sheet.
I hope you enjoy using the book and these resources in your classroom!
