Product Description
Students should complete this graphic organizer while reading The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. After each of the three scaffold scenes in the novel, students will analyze the context of the scene and how the theme of alienation as well as sin and guilt is developed through each scaffold scene.

After completing the graphic organizer, students will then complete an ACES writing prompt where they examine how Hawthorne manipulates the scaffold scenes in the novel to serve as a catalyst for theme development.
