This interdisciplinary science resource pack was compiled after many years of teaching lab skills, lab safety practices, and the scientific method to my own students. I love watching scientific inquiry come alive to my students during this course of study! Key concepts include famous scientists, steps of the scientific method, experimental science basics, science vocabulary, methods for graphing experiment results, lab safety steps, etc.
This unit works wonderfully as a whole or is also easily adaptable so that you may simply glean from it the portions which you feel are most beneficial for your own students. With 158 pages of activities, there are tons of lesson options to choose from. This unit includes study guides, word wall words, formal and informal assessments, reading comprehension pages, literature connections, creative thinking activities, writing activities, enrichment extensions, and much more...all centered around the study of the scientific method!
I also find that this unit does a great deal to foster communication, critical thinking, and creative thinking among my students. I hope you enjoy and that your students learn and grow from these learning experiences!!!!!
