These 3 language arts activities can be used along with the book, The Seasons of Arnold's Apple Tree. The first activity asks students to tell about their favorite season, and draw what Arnold's apple tree looks like during that particular season. The second activity asks students to illustrate what Arnold's apple tree looks like in each season. Students are able to distinguish the changes an apple tree goes through over the course of a year. The last activity is a writing prompt that asks students to name what Arnold does with his apple tree during each season (builds a tree house, a swing, makes a wreath, makes applesauce, dresses up for Halloween, feeds the birds, etc). These activities will assist in students' review of the book and also the attributes of each season.
