This movie guide is multiple choice with two short answer pieces at the end.
This guide was made specifically for English Language Learners and Special Ed students, but can be modified for higher-level students with the removal of the multiple choice answers.
The film gives a solid background on DNA, what it is, what it's made of, how it was discovered, and why it's important. The best bit of the film is the discussion of ethics in science research. Students can have a passionate debate about whether Watson and Crick were ethical in their work or not. Students will gain background knowledge on the five people involved in the discovery of DNA, including the often ignored Roslind Franklin.
