Teach and improve the math skills of your students as you teach them more difficult math operations (using this power point presentation) without them realizing it. You can use the incentive portion of the slides method to help students learn individually and as a group or as a class.
The presentation uses the functions of a smart board and brings 14 worksheets with answers shown step by step. This allows for teachers to “teach” the class in many different forms. I created this as a method to teach my 9 yr old more advance math such as “Order of operations”. With this I was able to teach him the formula – PEMDAS, explained in a simple way what exponents were and even used it to strengthen his math skills when it came to adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
The presentation provides a link to a website where more PDF files can be created for class worksheets – answer page provided (step by step which allows the teacher to go over the work easily).
I believe this will work well with grades 3 – 5. A book is in progress of being written – which was the story I used to entice my 9 yr old son to learn this math over the summer. Once the students learn the basics it can develop interest in even more advance basic math.
