Product Description
The Seven Years War (French and Indian War) Webquest and Video Analysis with Key - this is a 12 page document that contains a webquest and a completed teachers key for easy marking. It contains 24 questions based on a Crash Course U.S. History video and the History.com website.

Students will be introduced to the topic of the Seven Years War by watching the video Crash Course U.S. History: The Seven Years War. The video will introduce the idea of mercantilism and how the British were using this economic system to fund their growing empire. The French moving into the Mississippi and Ohio River valleys begins to disrupt the expansion of the American colonies and war eventually breaks out. The video covers the major events of the war, the battles, and discusses how the aftermath of the war (Proclamation of 1763) begins to lay the groundwork for the American Revolution. After watching the video, students are sent to the history.com website which will give more details behind the British strategy during the war, the Battle of the Plains of Abraham (securing Canada for the British), and the peace process that followed the war.

This webquest can be easily used as an introduction to the topic, a study guide, or a quick and easy sub plan.
