This student reset station is used for students when they need to self-regulate or take a break from the classroom. It is a great way for students to deal with the big emotions that they deal with.
Students can choose to go to The Shark Tank when they are feeling overwhelmed, upset, or just need a break. They can use a calm down strategy to regulate themselves. When they are done, they wait for you to come and have a check-in conversation and then re-join the class.
Students benefit from learning how to regulate themselves and recognize when they are overwhelmed. They learn strategies that they can then apply outside of the classroom to deal with big emotions.
Included in this freebie are the pieces needed to create the student "office" or tri-fold folder. You will need two file folders, a clothespin or clip, small container of play dough, a notepad and pencils. If you are going to make your Shark Tank portable, like mine is in my classroom, you will also need a basket to put all the supplies in.
****This is a powerpoint. I have made it so you can add your name to one of the posters. You will need powerpoint to open and edit this file. All pieces are saved as a PNG and the only editable part is the name. This is to help protect the work of the clip art artists who's work I have used.****
