When learning to decode unfamiliar words, especially multisyllabic words, knowledge of the six syllable types is crucial. These six posters list the syllable types, describes them, and gives examples that are marked up.
The six syllable types are:
1. Closed Syllables
2. Open Syllables
3. Silent-e (VCe)
4. Vowel Teams
I laminated these posters and use them in my literacy instruction daily.
