Product Description

Let your students do the digging as they research organisms found in the six kingdoms of life. This is a great way for students to EXPLORE and EXPLAIN the characteristics of each of the kingdoms.

During this activity, students will follow a detailed instruction sheet to research organisms found in each of the six kingdoms and complete the corresponding page in their Kingdom Book. The book is designed to encourage student creativity as they complete the research over each kingdom. At the end of the project, students will have a book that contains examples and characteristics of each of the six kingdoms of life.

    • Page for Eubacteria-students research Chemoautotrophs and E. Coli as well as positive and negative impacts of bacteria in the environment.

    • Page for Fungi-students research Zygomycetes, Basidiomycetes, and Ascomycetes

On each page, students must research and include the following information:

  • Prokaryote or Eukaryote
  • Habitat
  • Method of obtaining nutrients (autotroph or heterotroph)
  • Method of reproduction
  • Method of movement
  • Unicellular or Multicellular
  • A sketch of one of the organisms in this kingdom
