How do you build a snowman? The kids will love this cute poem about building a snowman and then write a "how-to" about it!
Your students will love acting this poem out and putting it in order. They love to find sight words in writing, and the small version of the poem gives them that opportunity. Just print, laminate and give them dry erase markers!
The poetry page is a great addition to their poetry notebooks. They will have fun using the tracers to create their own snowmen! Read the poem during Shared Reading and use to reinforce the order of how it is built.
The kids will have fun with the snowman order pictures putting them in order of how you build it! You can use the time order/sequencing words as they put them in the pocket chart to retell. They will love making their own "How-to" book of building a snowman! What fun if they could actually go outside and "build" one for real! Unfortunately, we can't do that here in Houston!
