These are my notes on the Spanish-American War.
The notes cover Yellow Journalism, William Randolph Hearst, Joseph Pulitzer, the De Lomé Letter, the USS Maine, the Philippines, George Dewey, the Teller Amendment, the Rough Riders, Theodore Roosevelt, the Battle of San Juan Hill, the Treaty of Paris, Cuba, protectorate, the Platt Amendment, Guantanamo Bay, Emilio Aguinaldo, and the Insular Cases.
How do you use this product? I make copies of the notes and distribute them to the students. I then pass out the questions that go with the notes. The students must read the notes in order to answer the questions. You can also upload the notes and questions onto your Canvas or teaching web page.
After the students finish answering the questions, I go over the lesson with a PowerPoint presentation.
You can buy the PowerPoint that goes with these notes here:

You can modify the notes to your own needs. If you want to add something, you can. If you want to take something out, you can. The work is doable and the students will learn.
This work has been used in my classroom for 15 years and is ready for you to take straight to the copier.
