This activity includes a mixture of five primary and secondary source documents related to the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs. These documents consist of both visual and textual sources. The visual sources include a painting and a graph, while the textual sources include quotes, an Aztec poem, and a summary. The incorporation of multiple types of sources makes the documents accessible to many different types of learners. This activity is meant to build students' analysis and interpretation skills. Additionally, the documents represent multiple viewpoints. This allows students to study the conquest through multiple lenses.
