PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Using a brief summary of the Battle of Ft. McHenry, and the lyrics to the National Anthem, students will recreate what they believe Francis Scott Key was looking at when he was inspired to write the poem that became The Star Spangled Banner. It will be necessary to either have a class discussion or to have students research some of the vocabulary words such as "ramparts" in order to give the poem more clear meaning. A fun way to promote patriotism and study history at the same time!
