Players are dealt 1 word card by the dealer. The player must read the word, identify its vowel sound and look for words with the same vowel sound in the bone pile and then in other students' collected cards. If found, the player takes the cards, reads them and piles them on the table in front of themself. Players take turns trying to find cards that match the one dealt them. At the end of a given time or when all the cards are gone, the player with the most cards win. Emphasize with students that this game is the ONLY time that stealing is OK, and that until the last player has had a turn you never know who will win the game.
