Focus Wall Posters: I have supplied you with printable mini posters for the following: characters, possessive nouns, short I, Consonants R/H/B/G, Accuracy: Words Connected in Text, Context Clues, Spelling/ High Frequency word cards, Vocab Word Cards

Roll a Spelling- You will need a dice for this activity. Students will roll to find out what spelling word to write. They keep going until all squares are filled.
Color Me By Words to Know/ Spelling- This is a coloring activity to practice the high frequency words and spelling words of the week.
Vocab Flash Cards- Student practice the vocab words of the week by drawing pictures of the different vocab words.
Using The Context Sheet- This is a sheet to practice using context to understand the meaning of words.
Categorize Nouns- Students practice recognizing different kinds of nouns in this cut and paste activity.
Stormy Predictions- Students will make predictions. It can be used with any book.
Understanding Pop Craft- This is an adorable craft that pairs nicely with the story, and helps students work on “Understanding Characters”.
The Storm Tri-Fold- Print these sheets front to back. Students fold it like a brochure. Fill it out about the week’s selection.
Journal The Weather- This is an activity that can be done at school or at home. They journal what the weather is like.
Spelling and High Frequency Practice- Students will read, trace, write, and rainbow write the high frequency words and spelling words.

Use conventional spelling for words with common spelling patterns and for frequently occurring irregular words.

Spell untaught words phonetically, drawing on phonemic awareness and spelling conventions.

Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
