This is a 4-page Word document that is used as an introduction to the human eye. The KEY is included. There are paragraphs to read, then questions to answer after the paragraphs. No additional material is needed or required to answer the questions - it's all in the assignment itself. This graded assignment also assesses reading comprehension.
This assignment is used on the computer with a drop box such as Blackboard, PowerSchool or School Space. It can be quickly and easily converted into a printable paper copy by simply removing the asterisks and adding lines for the students to write their answers instead of typing them. I use this format often so that we can save paper by using electronic copies of assignments.
The student answers the questions by placing the cursor between the red asterisks and begins typing the answer - that way they can easily see that they've answered the question and I can easily grade the assignment by reading what they've typed in red. The students' completed assignment will look much like your answer key provided all answers are correct. I love technology!
If you'd like to make this a printed paper assignment, simply remove the red asterisks and add lines for answers instead.
