This is an excellent resource for reviewing the story of Joseph and his brothers. The following pages contain pictures of key events from the story of Joseph, with captions taken directly from the biblical text. Cut the pictures apart (there are 15 in all) and hand them out to the students. Their task is to put the events in the proper order.
This activity works well because it gives students a chance to recall the story through visual aids which supplement their own mental images of the story. Secondly, it gives them a chance to work with each other to recall the chronology of the story. Finally, it gives them a chance to move around a bit.
There are other possibilities for this document, as well. The pictures can be separated from their captions, and then each student receives either a picture or a caption and must find their “partner” (the person with the picture or caption corresponding to their own).
