This activity works well because it gives students a chance to recall the story through visual aids which supplement their own mental images of the story. Secondly, it gives them a chance to work with each other to recall the chronology of the story. Finally, it gives them a chance to move around a bit.
There are other possibilities for this document, as well. The pictures can be separated from their captions, and then each student receives either a picture or a caption and must find their “partner” (the person with the picture or caption corresponding to their own).
