This product came to me as a little song. It has not been recorded yet so, I am posting it as an emergent reader. There is an English version as well as a Spanish version of this book. This file contains the English version. This book features rhyming words within the context of an ocean theme. English language learners can work on identifying the rhyming words before they are able to generate rhymes. This is an important phonological awareness skill.
This file was created to give you visual support as a picture book. A picture of me signing (in American Sign Language) each of the target vocabulary has not been included, although the plan is to post a video of the target words on YouTube. Additional materials to support this song will be uploaded soon so please stay tuned. This book will support your study of ocean animals. If your target for the month is an ocean theme, this is a good addition.

Sing this song with me anytime.
In Gloria’s house you will find
Strange things happen all the time.
I can see a crab getting into a cab.
I can see a shrimp walking with a limp.
I can see a snail writing an e-mail.
I can see a dolphin polishing his dorsal fin.
I can see a seal balancing on a wheel.
I can see a seahorse driving in a golf course.
I can see a whale pounding on a nail.
I can see a polar bear combing his curly hair.
I can see a turtle crossing a big hurdle.
I can see a manatee shaving his goatee.
I can see a squid tickling a kid.
I can see a fish counting to ten in her dish.
I can see a jellyfish making a birthday wish.
I can see a manta ray carrying a heavy tray.
I can see a lobster dressed up like a mobster.
I can see a shark hiding in the dark.
