• This two-part, hands-on, collaborative group activity will lead your students through the inquiry and discovery process. They will collaborate as they utilize the Scientific Method to find the sum of the angle measures for both triangles and quadrilaterals. Students will formulate a question and hypothesis, then test their hypothesis to come to a conclusion. They will share their findings with classmates to generalize their findings.
• Finished products can be mounted and displayed or used in interactive notebooks.
• I have found that my students not only really enjoy this project, but they also understand and find it much easier to remember the sum of the angles for both triangles and quadrilaterals.
