Product Description
After reading Act II, sc iii of Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun," have students analyze Walter's context through the voices of Langston Hughes and Solange to prepare them for contextual understanding of Walter's speech about the "takers and the tooken" in Act III.

The text (poem and song), guided reading and cross contextual questions for "The Weary Blues" and "Weary" are provided.

I play "Weary" for students to add to a discussion about how tone enhances Solange's claim.
