The Tale of Despereaux is a novel written by (the amazing) Kate DiCamillo about a mouse that is truly himself and does not conform, no matter the repercussions this has on his life. This novel teaches about the power and enchantment that story telling allows the reader.The Tale of Despereaux is written so eloquently that I could not put it down and read it straight through to the end.
