After many requests, The Teacher Studio Professional Development is now available! Whether you are looking for workshops for large or small groups, coaching for individuals or teams, or a consultant to come help you assess your current practices and design next steps, I would love to work with you to customize the experience you and your staff needs to push your math instruction to new levels.
Who am I?
I am a teacher, blogger, curriculum designer with a true passion for making learning fun, meaningful, and challenging for both teachers and students. Over the past twenty-five years, I have had the pleasure of teaching in grades 2, 3, 4, and 6. I continue to enjoy the challenges of a new group of students and seeing them grow each year! Blogging at “The Teacher Studio” has been a love of mine for nearly five years and I appreciate the ability to get to know teachers from around the world as I share my love of teaching. I have a degree in elementary education as well as a masters in educational leadership and a director of instruction administrative license. I have presented in a variety of settings to audiences of all sizes and love sharing my ideas and helping teachers and schools refine their instruction.
What Can I Help You Accomplish?
Although I teach all subjects in a self-contained classroom, my passion is certainly teaching math—to my students and to teachers!. I love working with teachers, teams, and schools who are ready to push their math instruction to a new level—to get students truly learning math content at a deeper level. My teaching and coaching is based in best practice and supports not just the rigorous standards expected today, but also respects the development of the child.
