Texas History students learn about the people and events of the Texas Frontier after Reconstruction such as Buffalo Soldiers, the Red River Campaign, Adobe Walls, Quanah Parker, the slaughter of the buffalo, fighting Native Americans in West Texas, the Warren Wagon Train Raid, the Treaty of Medicine Lodge Creek, and MORE! This can be completed as a jigsaw, stations, or small group activity (in which case it could work for a sub!). There are 3 readings, two graphic organizers, 10 comprehension questions, two point of view activities, a timeline, and a map activity. The answers are included where appropriate, as is a teacher information page. See the preview for a closer look!
