This cute book by Peggy Archer tells the story of two brothers who are sent out to bring a turkey home for Thanksgiving! The littlest brother most definitely does not want to do this!
This Reader's Theater script has roles for eight students. I incorporate the word ALL at times so that students with smaller roles still have a reason to follow along.
There are nameplates included. I always run my off on white cardstock. After cutting them out, you may hole-punch them, thread with yarn, and place around the students' necks for a nametag necklace. You may also glue the nameplate pieces to a strip of construction paper and make a nametag headband!
Children always enjoy Reader's Theaters, and they are such a great way to increase reading fluency as well as instill a love for reading.
If you are not familiar with this story, you may view it on YouTube.
Please feel free to change the script in any way that you would like.
