This reader's theater was written for 5 students. It was written for students who are on a 1st grade reading level. It is on level G. The three little pigs are going to build houses. The oldest brother warns the others to make their homes the best that they can. The two other pigs believe that the best is the fastest and the cheapest. One day a wolf comes to knock on their doors and blows their homes down. The two brothers run to the oldest pig and he lets them in. The wolf can’t blow that house down. They all live happily ever after. I use all of my Reader's Theaters to help students improve their fluency. My students, especially the ones struggling to read, still require motivation to improve and that is where Reader's Theater comes in. I use small group reader's theaters because I find it to be more effective than large groups. There is less wait time for students in between their parts which means more practice time fore each student and less time off task. My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone. I hope that you will enjoy this small group Reader's Theater. Please let me know what you think of this one. Most of my scripts are black and white to make it easier to photocopy. Thank you.
