Included in this packet are four different activities that help teach kids to recognize character, setting, details, beginning, middle and end using the story The Three Pigs. The first activity is a flip book that has the kids identify character and setting. When you open a flap a pig pops out standing in from of a setting all colored and made by the kids. The second activity is a booklet that is in the shape of a pig's head. Attached to the construction paper pink pig head are pages the shape of the head where the kids identify character and setting. The third page has the kids identify beginning, middle and end. Staple all three pages together and you have a booklet in the shape of a pig head. Too cute! The third activity is a booklet that is folded and stapled together. It asks the kids to identify character and setting as well as beginning, middle and end also asks for details. It is very easy to assemble. It includes space for kids to write and draw pictures. The fourth activity asks kids to identify their favorite character. This is a one page that is double sided. There is room to write and draw pictures. The kids are asked to identify their favorite character and tell why. All activities include detailed instructions on how to construct them. These are easy to make and cute to put on a bulletin board or hang on a wall. This is a great unit for Kindergarten, 1st grade and Homeschooling.
