"Back at you, Pine cone Face!" Oh Percy, such harsh words but to whom? Annabeth? Thalia? Grover? In this sort, students must analyze quotes from Rick Riordan's The Titan's Curse to figure out which characters said what and to whom. By referring back to the text, analyzing word choice, focusing in on character traits and making inferences, students are practicing critical thinking skills as well as comparing and contrasting characters. Students can complete this sort independently, in a small group or as a class. A must have for literature circles!
Supports CCSS RL 5.1 and 5.3 in addition to fourth grade mythology standards.
