This consists of three pages. The first is a short directions page outlining the task. Students will be writing the exposition of a story using some of the techniques that Walter Dean Myers uses in his short story "The Treasure of Lemon Brown". The second page is a scaffolding guide consisting of text examples from the story. The students are then given room to brainstorm there own ideas modeling some of the techniques being used. The third page is a grading rubric.
