Active learning task disguised as a fun activity based on the novella by Henry James. There are 33 words for students to find. These words are important vocabulary relevant to the plot, and the names of characters and locations important in the novel.
Students will enjoy this activity. In addition to finding words in the grid, students are asked to write a sentence about each word. This helps students reinforce their knowledge of vocabulary, character and plot.
This is the type of resource that could be used as a homework assignment, for a substitute teacher, or as class work on occasions when you need a filler, and have nothing prepared.
The solution is included.
