Product Description
This 25 slide powerpoint outlines the battles leading to Gettysburg (Vicksburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville) and the battles after (Chickamauga Creek, Chattanooga,Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge). It would make a nice introductory overview or a final review. It also details Lincoln's command problem (McClellan, Burnside, Hooker, Grant). Students could follow up by researching one of the battles or one of the generals. There is a worksheet with questions to keep students on task during the powerpoint presentation. This could also be used as an individualized lesson for students who missed class or who are in a one room schoolhouse type of situation.
