I am blessed to have high school tutors in my classroom throughout the day. Unfortunately, I often don’t have time to discuss with the tutors what I would like for them to be working on. I created this set so my tutors can just grab it, read it, and go.
What you get is:
Number cards 0-20 and instructions on how tutor's can help students practice number recognition, counting, ordering numbers, before and after etc.
Shape cards (2 and 3 shapes) and instructions on how tutor's can help students practice identifying shapes, building shapes etc.
Addition cards and instructions on how tutor's can help students practice adding with manipulatives.
This set works on three of the basic common core skills. (number sense, shapes, and addition.) Each set has task cards and task card instruction cards for the tutor. Each set is color coded including the tutor instruction cards. I will place each set of task cards along with the color coded instruction cards in a gallon size zip-lock. I will place all three gallon sized zip-locks in a basket. Now, all my tutor has to do is grab the basket, get out the task cards and task card instructions, and they are ready to begin.
This set would also work perfectly for a take-home bag. I have numerous parents that ask me what they can do at home to help. This set will give them specific instructions on how to work on basic skills. They can keep the bag at home for a specific amount of time and then bring it back so another student can have it.
