{(Nouns; Types of Nouns; Kinds of Nouns; Common Nouns; Proper Nouns; Compound Nouns, Concrete Nouns, Abstract Nouns, Collective Nouns}

Here is the ULTIMATE noun bundle to engage your students as they learn about all six types of nouns: common, proper, compound, concrete, abstract, and collective. It is important that students recognize all six types to fully grasp nouns (especially concrete vs. abstract), and now you can help them do just that with one, easy-to-use resource. This fun bundle has noun activities that will motivate and interest your students because they are not the usual "find the noun in the sentence" type of practice.

In addition, you also save with the special bundle rate (as opposed to buying all seven resources individually which would cost $24.25).

PLEASE NOTE that this version has similar activities to "Less Mess" Nouns Interactive Notebook Activities which have been redesigned in the "Less Mess" interactive notebook form. If you own the notebook already, some of these activities will be repeated. If you have questions before purchase about the similarity, just let me know!

Here is what’s included in this 143 page resource:

7. The Noun Islands (Categorizing Nouns Activity)
Add some "island flair" to categorizing nouns with the Noun Islands! This activity includes common, proper, concrete, abstract, compound, and collective nouns. This activity works really well as a culminating activity after you have taught all six types.

The nouns have been vacationing on Jumble Island, and it is the students' mission to return each noun to its home islands. This activity really helps students understand:

a. A noun can fit in several different categories at the same time.
b. No noun can be just one type.
c. There are some types that a noun can not be at the same time (common/proper, etc.)

This activity works well individually, in partners, in literacy centers, etc. All pages are included in both color and black and white for your convenience. Answer keys are also provided for students to self-check if you wish. In addition, blank copies of Jumble Island are provided in case you'd like to use your own noun mix instead of mine.

Ideas for how to turn this activity into a group project with a "tropical twist" are also included.
