Pg. 4-6 Spelling Teller – cut out the Spelling Teller, follow the directions for folding, grab a partner and practice spelling some of your spelling words and answering comprehension questions that go along with your reading selection.
Pg. 7-8 Vocabulary in Context – copy side A and B back to back, fold on the lines, cut on the dotted lines, write a sentence and draw a picture for each vocabulary word

Pg. 11-16 Proper Nouns – copy pages A and B back to back, cut out flower pots, glue them on side B to form pockets, cut out the worm boxes, read the sentences, separate the worm cards and put them into the correct pots depending on if they contain proper nouns or common nouns
Pg. 17-20 Into the Homophone Garden! – copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid lines, cut out the flowers, think of four homophones, write the eight words by writing one word on each flower, glue the homophones inside the garden side by side, draw a picture of each homophone to define it
Pg. 21-24 My Best Dinner Ever! – choose a plate or a bowl to illustrate your best dinner ever, tell about the meal – Who made it? Did you help? Why was it the best? Did you share it?
Pg. 25-31 Soup’s On! - two to four players, put cards face down in a pile, take turn reading the cards, if you read it correctly put the vegetable card in your soup pot, if you read it incorrectly, put it back into the pile and skip your turn, if you pick up a worm take a vegetable out of your soup pot and place it back into the pile face down, whoever has the most vegetables at the end of the game wins
