Trying to review for a quiz or test? Want your students to practice in the same format as the test? Tired of boring test prep lessons? Wishing you had a fun active review game where students could work in partners?
Turn your multiple choice quiz into an interactive scavenger hunt for instant fun and review using this template!
The template includes a thorough implementation guide, 2 planning tools to help you set up your scavenger hunt, 2 student sheets for students to record their answers and "Ready to Go" question sheets. All you need are your questions, answers and locations in your room or building that kids can travel to and you're ready.
BONUS! This template also includes a 7-question sample hunt for comparing fractions that is common core aligned and rigorous!
HERE'S HOW THE HUNT WORKS:
Students work in pairs. Each pair is assigned their initial question location. Each answer choice has a location attached to it (you pick these). For example, “If you think the answer is A, go to the front bulletin board.” If they have chosen the correct letter, the bulletin board holds their next clue! If they chose incorrectly, the bulletin board either has no clue or the wrong clue. Students then go back to the question and try again.
Students will know they are in the right place if the letter of the clue is the next letter in alphabetical order. For example, if we were at Question D and our answer choice sends us to Question E, then we got it right! If we were at Question D and the answer we chose sends us to Question R, we went to the wrong place and need to try again.
Have fun hunting!
