This board game is called The Underground Railroad. It is a great, U.S. History lesson, especially for a rainy day when there is no outdoor recess.
The Underground Railroad is for ages 11 years and older, or as determined by the Teacher. This board game uses photographs to depict, and text to describe the brutality, consequences and rewards of the escape from slavery. It also includes the various heroes of The Underground Railroad, including Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and John Brown.
A bibliography is included for the opportunity to conduct further research in the classroom.
There is an additional product, The Underground Railroad - Board Game: Study Guide, which is now available in my store. It is also free.
1.) The inside and outside, board game covers glue onto a large, file folder.
2.) The rules and directions, the larger photo pages, their text, and the bibliography fit in a regular 3-ring notebook.
3.) The smaller photo, playing cards cut down to 6"x7", are hole-punched in a corner, are held together with a string or a circle clamp, and are placed on the game board.
***NOTE: THE LAST FOUR PHOTOS GRAPHICALLY SHOW THE BRUTALITY OF SLAVERY.***
Enjoy and Thank You!
