A bundled set of three lesson plans - perfect for differentiation!
This bundled set of three includes texts written between grades 5 and 7 reading levels and are structured in a 5W 1H format - the six questions are asked and answered in individual paragraphs. The origins of the Underground Railroad are discussed and the role it played in Canadian history. The texts are of various lengths, appropriate for each level.
Included with each text are:
vocabulary words (underlined in the text for the lower level);
- worksheets of comprehension questions and a group/individual activity that asks students to imagine their lives as a runaway slave.
Designed for Canadian students but told from a non-specific point of view - i.e. the lesson plans would be appropriate for students anywhere.
Answer keys are included.
